The majority of Sunni scholars, including Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Imam Malik ibn Anas, permit wearing or carrying Taweez that consist exclusively of Quranic text and Allah’s Names as a means of seeking healing and protection through Allah’s Speech (Kalamullah).
