Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Imam Malik ibn Anas permitted wearing taweez containing only Quranic verses or authentic duas. The majority of Sunni scholars (Jumhur) allow it when content is purely Quranic — confirmed by Ibn Taymiyyah in Majmu’ al-Fatawa. As Allah SWT says: “And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers” (Quran 17:82).
