Surah Saffat has 182 ayat and it was revealed in Makkah. The name has been taken from its first verse which begins with an oath by Saffat, a group of angels who are arrayed to perform the command of Allah.

This Surah is the first Surah of the Holy Qur’an which begins with an oath. Like most of other Meccan Suras, many of the verses of this Suraah are also about Origin and Resurrection accompanied with some warnings and admonitions.

Benefits of Surah Saffat are many few are given below

Recitation of Surah Saffat near a dying person Allah would make his death painless and easy.
Those who recites Surat Saffat every Friday would remain safe from every calamity and trouble, would receive enough means of livelihood, his property and children would remain safe from enemies and the accursed Shaytan; if he dies the same day, he would die as a martyr and live in paradise among the martyrs.
Whoso recites Surat As-Saffat , Allah would credit him with virtues ten times more than the number of all the jinn and humans.
Write Suraah Safat on paper and kept in a glass bottle and kept in a box every dweller of the house would remain safe from every harm even if jinn come there in horde.
If Sura Safat is written on a china plate and washed with water, and a weak trembling person have a bath with it, tranquility would descend upon him.
