Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and\/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person\u2019s ability to function at work and at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Feeling sad or having a depressed mood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes in appetite \u2014 weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loss of energy or increased fatigue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., hand-wringing or pacing) or slowed movements and speech (actions observable by others)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feeling worthless or guilty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thoughts of death or suicide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"read-more-benefits-of-zikr-99-names-of-allah\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sarkarhealings.com\/category\/asma-ul-husna-99-names-of-allah\/\">Read more: Benefits of Zikr, 99 Names of ALLAH<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quranic-dua-for-depression-1-for-ease\"><b>Quranic Dua for Depression 1 : For ease<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you find things going tough, recite this dua as much as you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: Allahumma laa sahla illaa maa ja\u2019altahu sahlaa wa anta taj\u2019alus sa\u2019ba in shi\u2019ta sahlaa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation<\/b>: O Allah, nothing is easy except what you make easy, and You can make what is difficult easy if You wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dua-2-take-care-of-my-affairs\"><b>Dua 2 : Take care of my affairs<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image sq_image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sarkarhealings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quranic-dua-for-depression.jpg\" alt=\"quranic dua for depression\" title=\"\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ask Allah to take care of all your affairs and put your trust upon Him that He will make a way out of your difficulty and trials. Trust Him and see how He makes things easy for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: Allaahumma rahmataka arjoo falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata \u2018ayn. wa aslih lee sha\u2019nee kullah. Laa ilaaha illaa Ant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation<\/b>: O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so don\u2019t leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blinking of an eye. And rectify all of my affairs for me. Nothing has the right to be worshipped except You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quranic-dua-for-depression-3-acknowledge-allahs-might\"><b>Quranic <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dua\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dua<\/a> for Depression 3: Acknowledge Allah\u2019s might<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In al-Saheehayn it was reported from Ibn \u2018Abbaas that the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say when he felt distressed or depression&nbsp;or was worried:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: &nbsp;La ilaaha ill-Allaah al-\u2018Azeem ul-Haleem, Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb il-\u2018arsh il-\u2018azeem, Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Rabb is-samawaati wa Rabb il-ard wa Rabb il-\u2018arsh il-kareem<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation<\/b>: There is no god except Allah, the All-Mighty, the Forbearing; there is no god except Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no god except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth and Lord of the noble Throne. (Al-Bukhari 8\/154, Muslim 4\/2092)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quranic-dua-for-depression-4-when-you-are-upset\"><b>Quranic Dua for Depression 4: When you are upset<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It was reported from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say when something upset him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: <strong>Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom, bi Rahmatika astagheeth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation<\/b>: O Ever-Living One, O Everlasting One, by Your mercy I seek help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dua-5-when-you-are-distressed-and-worried\"><b>Dua 5 : When you are distressed and worried<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It was reported that Asmaa\u2019 bint \u2018Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: \u201cShall I not teach you some words to say when you feel distressed, Depression and Worried?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: Allaah, Allaah, Rabbee laa ushriku bihi shay\u2019an\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation<\/b>: Allah, Allah, my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him (Abu Dawud 2\/87. See also Al-Albani, Sahih Ibn Majah 2\/335.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quranic-dua-for-depression-6-quran-for-grief\"><b>Quranic Dua for Depression 6: Quran for grief<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It was reported from \u2018Abd-Allaah ibn Mas\u2019ood that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: \u201cNo person suffers any anxiety or grief, and says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Dua<\/b>: Allaahumma innee \u2018abduka wa ibn \u2018abdika wa ibn amatika, naasiyati bi yadika, maadin fiyya hukmuka, \u2018adlun fiyya qadaa\u2019uka, as\u2019aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw \u2018allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista\u2019tharta bihi fi \u2018ilm il-ghaybi \u2018andak an taj\u2019ala al-Qur\u2019aana rabee\u2019 qalbi wa noor sadri wa jalaa\u2019a huzni wa dhahaaba hammi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation:&nbsp;<\/b>O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that severe cases of depression and other illnesses need to be treated with the help of medical intervention that includes medications and several rounds of psychological counseling depending on the severity of the condition.
